In July 2005 I was invited to take my engine and rolling stock to a lovely railway belonging to a member of my local model engineering society. This is a ground level line around the owners house and includes a station, sidings and a tunnel about 10ft long. I've dreamed of having my own ride on railway since my early teens and the image i've had in mind is exactly what exits here. I must take this opportunity to thank the owners for their hospitality, I and my eldest son, Sam, were extremely well fed. This was the first proper run for my driving & passenger truck and i'm pleased to report they performed well although the passenger truck bearings could do with replacing. As it happened this visit coincided with my birthday and its difficult to imagine a better way to spend it than a nice summers day in the company of nice people and such a splendid railway. |
