June 2006 - I've added a Smoke Generator and Sound Unit to No1. This is part of my quest to update the poor neglected old thing and at the same time experiment in readiness for electrifying the Speedy/Pansy chassis. The Sound Unit came from Trax and gives a very realistic diesel sound. The Smoke unit, from Hunter Systems, gave a few teething troubles but once advise had been sourced from the manufacturer all was well. I hope to be track testing both units in the near future and will report back and add detailed explanation on both units on the No1 project page.

June 2006 - A much needed update to the site with more info added to the Current Project page. You find a 2 new projects (3 really) and proposed updates to No1. Believe it or not (I wouldn't.....) but I do intend more frequent updates to this site from now on especially as I will be giving up some of my other model engineering commitments. I'm now off to rescue the piece of track you see in the pictures below from the undergrowth where it was thrown following the session in March '05.

August 2005 - This site has now received a much needed update which has been spured on by web developments on the Fox Hollow Railway, another garden line in Kent. Hopefully more info and a link will appear here soon.

July 2005 - Visited a lovely ground level, 5" gauge, garden line in Kent. Had a most enjoyable day. Full Story on the Real Garden Railway page.

March 2005- Put a few lengths of track down in the garden and got the drivers truck and passenger truck out for their first run in anger. These were quickly commandeered by the children and when i tried to have a go I was swiftly dispatched to other domestic duties. They were able to ride down the track thanks to gravity which surprised me as I thought the garden was level. Still, its only a minor gradient. I'll add some more thoughts when i've made some more track and had a run with an engine, preferably when the kids are at school.
