| My current project is a BOXCAB loco as used by Ford at Dagenham, who had 3, for many years. These were the first Bo-Bo's in this country and to my knowledge the only boxcabs ever used in the UK. The main market for these locos being in the USA and Canada. The only surviver is at the Kent & East Sussex Railway. No 40. For some strange reason Sam Berliner has added pictures I sent him of this model (I use the term loosely ) on his excellent and extensive Boxcab web site. Its well worth a look but expect to be in for a long haul. The chassis has been run at the Canterbury & District Model Engineering Society track and did an excellent demonstration of the art of wheelspin. This was probably due to only being driven on one axle in each bogie so i'm going to add chain drive between the axles as a priority but the car radiator fan motors running at 24 volts clearly have tons of power. Further updates will follow........ | ||
