Meetings
The Society meets on the last Monday of each month during the Winter at the Barn, Kingston, (off the A2 South off Canterbury). In the Summer we meet at our permanent miniature railway track on land kindly loaned by Bretts of Fordwich. This 750 foot long continuous track caters for both 3.5" and 5" gauge locomotives (1/16th and 1/12th scale) and there is sufficient space to run traction engines or model steam road vehicles. As the track is on private land access by members of the public is limited; however, there is a public footpath running past the site from a path off the A28 just East of Sturry station or from a path running from Field Way in the center of Sturry passing behind the cricket ground.
Once a year, the Society stages an open day at the track when we invite neighbouring Societies to bring their locomotives and models. This event is open to the public and is advertised. We also have a portable track which our members use to support local events and charities. From time to time we organise a public exhibition usually in conjunction with Heron Model Boat Club with which we have close ties
