| 1st Jan 2008 | Little Orchard Railway DVD...a
quick review ! My good lady wife, the long suffering Linda, didn't know what to get me for Christmas so I decided to send for Rex Mounfeild's DVD about his Little Orchard Railway. The DVD shows the building, opening and running of the railway in quite the most entertaining style. And if that isn't enough all the money made goes to charity. I have no intention of trying to describe it further because I haven't a hope of doing it justice. All I can say is 'FANTASTIC' !...... Although Rex claims to be an amateur film maker it certainly doesn't show. Very well done Rex !.... |
| 31st Dec 2007 | Firstly, you will notice that all pages now have adverts top and
bottom. There's no point in ignoring this as its part of a long term
upgrade plan for the site which will see it move (eventually) to a new
webspace provider and have some added features. These adverts will,
hopefully, generate a small amount of dosh to help cover the costs
involved. I hope the adverts do not spoil your enjoyment of this site
and any feedback will be most welcome. As the year closes it just remains for me to thank you all for using this site, and the encouraging comments many of you have provided, and to wish you all a healthy, prosperous and very happy new year. Regards Barry ! |
| 12th Nov 2007 | At last i've managed another update. Apologies to those that have
been asking for their site to be added but hopefully i've caught up now
and sorted a few broken links. Do please let me know if you come across
a site that would interest others. Also taken the liberty of adding my local society to the club page because thats where I get so much inspiration from. |
| 25th August 07 | I've discovered a new magazine that comes from the the wrong side of
the water. But the content is absolutely right for those that are
interested in railways in Gardens. The Home Railway Journal is well
worth a look. In fact I ended up not only taking out a subscription but
buying all the back issues. Fantastic ! Have a look for yourself its

| 25th Jan 2007 | Miniature Railway Magazine has produced yet another stunning example including several references to 5" gauge. Well done that man !Some while ago the idea was muted about producing a magazine specifically for our gauge based roughly on the type of content within www.5inchrail.co.uk .
